Mark Zitter, MBA

Founder & Chairman

Mark Zitter is an entrepreneur focusing on healthcare services. He has special expertise in managed care, pharmaceutical marketing, and disease management. He has authored four books and scores of articles on healthcare and speaks frequently at national meetings. Mark is founder and former chairman of Vital Decisions, a telephone counseling firm for patients facing life-limiting illness. Mark is a board member and past chairman of SFJAZZ and a former member of the Strategic Advisory Committee for the Patient Access Network. He also serves on the Health Care Advisory Board for Riverside Partners, a private equity firm. He has been a guest lecturer at the Harvard School of Public Health, Stanford Business School, Yale Medical School, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and other universities. Mark holds a BA from Wesleyan University and an MBA from Stanford University. He lives outside of San Francisco with his wife and three children.

John Monahan is a seasoned healthcare and business services executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in operations, sales, marketing and human resources in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, e-learning, medical publishing, healthcare analytics and pharmacy services. John was formerly Senior Vice President of Corporate Services for Barnabas Health, New Jersey’s largest integrated healthcare system. Prior to his tenure at Barnabas Health, he served as President & CEO of Wolters Kluwer Health’s Global Pharmaceutical Solutions Division. Before joining Wolters Kluwer, he was CEO of IC Axon and was President at Innovex Inc, a division of Quintiles Transnational. John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT, as well as executive certificates from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the University of North Carolina’s Kenan Flagler Business School.

Nicole Dautel

Vice President, Operations

Nicole Dautel joined the company in 2004. Nicole heads all of Zitter Health Insights’ product lines, including P&T Perspective, Prior Authorization Tracking Tool, Managed Care Message Monitor, Managed Care Biologics and Injectables Index, Managed Care Oncology Index, Managed Care Benefit Design Index, Co-Pay Offset Monitor, and Managed Care Pre-Launch Compass. During her tenure, Nicole has held roles in logistics and process management, account management/client service, and product management. A frequent contributor to industry publications, she has worked with a multitude of life science companies and managed care organizations to meet business objectives through utilization of insights derived from ZHI’s services.

Jeffrey Gladstone

Senior Vice President of Business Development

Jeff is the strategic client lead for metro-Philadelphia, mid-Atlantic and Southern East coast biopharmaceutical clients. In addition to providing existing clients with expert insights on managed care issues he is responsible for new business development and leads ZHI’s Sales Support team. Jeff has over twenty years of business development, marketing and consulting experience. His areas of expertise include managed care, specialty pharmacy, and market research methodology. He also has subject matter expertise in a variety of therapeutic classes. Jeff’s experience includes strategic consulting at Health Strategies Group and market access consulting across Medtronic’s global portfolio of businesses. Jeff holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University. Jeff and his family live in suburban Philadelphia.

Seana Ziliak

Vice President of Business Development

Seana Ziliak, Senior Vice President, Business Development, serves as the strategic client lead for west coast biopharmaceutical clients. Her goal is to provide expert insights on managed care issues and she is responsible for client service, organic growth, and new business development. Seana has over 17 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, device, and healthcare consulting. She has held various sales and leadership positions and possesses subject matter expertise in numerous therapeutic classes. Seana specifically developed her payer, employer, and reimbursement expertise while serving as a national account manager, Director of Managed Markets Training, and Director of Payer Marketing before coming to Zitter Health Insights. Seana earned her BA in International Relations from Michigan State University and an MSA from Central Michigan University.

Trish Kane

Vice President of Business Development

Trish Kane is the strategic client lead for select biopharmaceutical clients in NJ and NY. She is responsible for client service and business development at Zitter Health Insights. Trish assists clients by providing solutions and actionable insights for their market access issues and data needs. Trish has 17 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, and biopharma consulting. She has a diverse background in sales, managed markets training, and payer account management and possesses subject matter expertise in numerous therapeutic classes. Her client-side experience includes Managed Markets National Account Management, Trade Relations, and Sales roles with at EMD Serono, Ciba Vision Ophthalmics, and Lederle Laboratories. Trish has also worked with biopharma focusing on managed markets solutions as Regional Vice President for Campbell Alliance and Sales Director for Pinsonault Associates. Trish earned her BS in Financial Relations from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia PA. She and her family reside in New Jersey.

Theresa Penyak

Vice President of Business Development

Theresa Penyak is Vice President, Business Development for Zitter Health Insights and serves as the strategic client lead for select east coast biopharmaceutical clients in PA and northern NJ. Theresa has over twenty years in sales, consulting and managed markets experience. She has worked in varying roles on the supplier side including VP, New Business Development for Reimbursement Intelligence, VP of Sales, Managed Markets Insights and Technologies and varying roles at Scott-Levin. On the supplier side, she began her career at Sanofi Winthrop working in the Sales Administration and Pricing Strategy divisions. While in these roles, Theresa gained extensive experience in managed markets, training, sales and consulting. Theresa holds an MBA from Monmouth University, along with a BA from Fordham University, with a major in Communications and a minor in Psychology. She and her family reside in Bucks County, PA.

James Jurgens

Vice President of Business Development

James Jurgens  Vice President, Business Development and serves as the strategic client lead for New England and Midwest biopharmaceutical clients. James has more than 10 years of managed markets consulting, account management and sales experience. He has extensive experience in multiple therapeutic areas, working with biopharmaceutical clients of all sizes.  James has worked in varying roles on the vendor side including Director, Client Development for BusinessOne Technologies and Director of Sales for Managed Markets Insights and Technologies.  James began his career in the non-profit sector before making the move to the supplier side at Vertis, Inc. supporting Medco during the launch of Medicare Part D.  James holds an MBA from La Salle University and a BS in Business Administration, concentrating in Marketing with a minor in Corporate Communications, from Drexel University. James and his family reside in New Jersey.
